The cable highlighted above by "ishotit80" is not the correct cable to connect a Cactus V2 to a Canon 580EX II.
The cable needs to have either:
A male PC on both ends
or
A screwlock PC on one end and a Male PC on the other.
There is no miniphone plug in this mix.
