Reply to Best portrait lens for $500?

I have the 50mm F/1.8 and the 85 F/1.8 and I love them both

I also have the 18-200VR and I used it 99% of the time until I got my 85mm.

Since I have had my 85mm it has been on my camera 90% of the time

It is not just a great protrait lens but it is a great what ever lens

It focus fast and it is great in low light for getting the pic

Here are a few shots I got with the 85mm

I have alot of others in my stream please feel free to look at them

I love my 85 and even tho I want a 105mm F/2.8 VR macro , I am very happy with the 85



If you have about $350 then go fo rthe 85, you will never regret it. actually if you have $500 you can get the 85 and the 50 and be even more happier. I seriously think you will use the 85 alot more than the 50, but i tis great to have the choice
