the sigma 30mm f/1.4 has many user reports about problems of front or back focusing -that will be more pronounced with such a tiny DOF- and also non centered elements, sigma quality control leaves a lot to be desired so I would be careful with that lens.
@timmui: it is better to first invest in good glass and later on upgrades of bodies, the glass remains for your future canon cameras, the bodies don't, besides the 30D, 5D and 1D demand good glass ;) so don't crave new bodies, crave better glass :D
