Help on purchase of new camera

Hi, im interested in buying a new camera has read much about this two cameras EOS 30D and the NEW 40D what i give more importance in the buying of one of these two is its build.


Any notable improvemen in build in new version 40D?

Also wich to know about this that they say that new digital cameras like 30d crop image, and i wonder if the 40D also have this i use a 50mm 1.4 and ive read that in the 30d this lens is equal to a 80mm do i get to see this crop in the viewfinder or in the final image and does 40D also crop image?

another question, will the 30D lower price this year? i heard it would get lower when the 40D appeared but price hasnt changed
