I am setting up some strobs, for off camera use. I have purchased two vivitar 285HV’s and I also have an older strob, I use to use with my Canon AE1.
All the older strob has on it is Orbiter, F400BTA Auto Slave. Does anyone know anything about this flash? I bought it used, years ago, and never did have any specs on it. I am thinking about trying to use this older strob as a background light, but don’t know if has enough output to balance things out (especially if I try for isolation shots)
From what I have read, it would be easy enough to figure out if I had a decent light meter…which I think will be my next purchase. The resources devoted to the light meter will be influenced by whether or not I need to purchase a more powerful background flash. (I would be nice not to have to budget these things wouldn’t itL )
Anyway, if anyone has any info on this flash, or any other suggestion, all help would be greatly appreciated.
