D80 plus a 18-200 VR thats all for starters .
Get a Lowepro top loader TLZ AW for ease of use and protection .
After you get into it all ,look at getting a 70-300VR .
I now have the best of both world for what I do .
My D80 with two good Lowepro camera bags and two good VR lenses ,one camera and one lense or one camera and ALL my gear for what ever traveling /shooting situation I choose .
Remember your D80 and glass need a quality comfortable safe traveling home ...Lowepro do this nicely
