Reply to lens layer, could be damaged by micro fibre

Lenses used to be pretty soft (by used to I mean like 50 years ago). Those you could scratch just by looking at them too hard. I suppose the "lens" on my Holga wouldn't stand up to a lot of rubbing. But any modern lens? Forgetaboutit.
