I think you'll find that for an all-purpose lens for digital, 28mm is not wide enough. I got the Sigma 18-200, but that was before the Tamron 18-250 came out. I would think either of those would be a good choice. The Pentax is the same lens as the Tamron for more money, so you might as well get the Tamron.
