well, you want a few lenses there. what are your priorities? landscapes? concerts? you need to specify that, and what your budget might be.
personally, for the 20d, i would get the 17-40 L lens. it is only an f4 lens, but it is fantastic on the cropped sensor cameras. you can find one for about $600.00. maybe even better used ever so slightly.
