The 18-135 does give good results. Bought mine in Jan this year when it came boxed with the D80 and I've had some good shots from it. Having said that I'm not really a long lens user and having used it on only a handful of occaisions mine will be going up for sale within the next week or so. It definitely has the bang for the buck quality.
