If you are in the 1% who would spend $5K on a body + the lenses to go with it (working pros in studio/portrait/National Geographic, or Bill Gates) then go for the D3. If you are a PJ who would need it, your publication or agency should be buying it for you. Otherwise, it's not worth arguing. The rest of us will be able to buy gear at this level in several years as performance continues to increase while price goes down. Thank you Moore's Law!
