People post process digital anyways so most cameras do a great job at capturing the initial image. I just got a rebel xt because it was the cheapest body that did jpg+raw shots & I was used to Canon's interface from using the G series. All I would add is that I "think" (not sure) that older Nikor lenses can be mounted on Nikon Dslr's where the Eos system needs adaptors for pre-eos lenses. But I do have a lot of awesome older lenses that work on my Xt.
