If you're happy with the 28-80, then better stick with it and invest on a couple of Lee or Singh Ray filters for use with the Cokin system.
Sidenote, I've just gotten my hands on a 28-80 which came with the F60 I got, and it was pretty good considering it's quite a banged up lens. Too bad I have to let the whole F60 and 28-80 go.
