3dchris89: My point is not that one should completely discount equipment. As I said, good gear can be a very big help. But I also find that if I take multiple lenses out to shoot, I spend a lot of time thinking about the lenses rather than about the image that's in front of me. It's also possible to get caught up in the Great Lens Race ("if only I had THAT lens, THEN I would be a great photographer"). I think that I learn more in pushing the boundaries of just a single lens.
