I talked to Adobe last night about when PhotoShop and LightRoom would support the Canon 40D raw files. They asked around but no one could get any information. Said it would be 1 to 3 months. Anyway, just a few minutes ago I found this on Adobe...

it is a link to the newest release of LightRoom. Not sure what else it contains, but it does support the 40D.
In addition, clicking on a link on the page shows that there are also updates for PhotoShop, Elements, and the DNG and Camera Raw as well. All releases are dated yesterday...
